Pastor Reuben M.. Abante Born May 6, 1958, Rev. Reuben Abante has been serving as senior pastor of the Lighthouse Bible Baptist Church and Ministries (LBBCM) since 1999.
His preparations for the work of the Lord include growing up under the preaching and personal tutelage of his father, the late Rev. Bienvenido Abante Sr., serving as Associate Pastor of the LBBC from 1995 to 1999.
He is married to Imelda Rendal. He is blessed with three daughters, Rhea, Rhesa and Rinnah.
Whether as Pastor, Baptist leader, Presidential adviser, and/or manager of effective evangelistic efforts, Pastor Reuben carries on the legacy of excellence in conducting the work of the gospel which he inherited from our Baptist forefathers.
Pastor Bienvenido O. Abante
Steadfast. Unmoveable. Always abounding in the work of the Lord. These are some of the words to describe the servant of GOD named Bienvenido Abante Sr. Called by GOD to serve as His preacher in 1953, Bienvenido Sr. remained faithful and true to his calling until he was promoted to heaven in 1999.
After serving as Associate Pastor of the Baptist Bible Church of Sta. Mesa, Bienvenido Abante Sr. in 1976 started the Lighthouse Bible Baptist Church (LBBC), over which he would serve as Pastor for 24 years. Along the way, he assumed the presidency of the Bible Baptist Fellowship Philippines Incorporated which he tailored into a fellowship for Philippine acculturization having an emphasis on the Filipino pastoral leadership. His ministries, through God's providence, grew successfully despite the heartaches and trials along the way as more and more preachers - and subsequently, churches - were brought about through them.
GOD rewarded Bienvenido's faithfulness with three sons who are also in the ministry. The eldest, Dr. Benny M. Abante, Jr., is the Pastor of the Metropolitan Bible Baptist Church (MBBC) - Sta. Ana, and now the Senior Pastor of the whole MBBC family. Dr. Hernes M. Abante is Pastor of the growing US-based International Bible Baptist Church (IBBC). Youngest Reuben M. Abante has since assumed pastorship of the LBBC
