GIVING

Giving is another outward exercise of our faith and obedience to the commands of GOD. Giving is a sign of maturity in the faith and is done by God’s grace. Lighthouse BBC members are never forced to give. They give out of love, out of thanksgiving, out of knowledge of God’s Word, out of faith and the desire to please and honor God.

The tithe, which is 10% of our gross income, rightfully belongs to the Lord who gave it in the first place. This is used for the operational expenses of the ministry.

Beyond the tithes, the Lighthouse BBC provides Christians with other opportunities to give to the Lord and His work as mandated in the Bible:

• Love Offering goes to local missions
• Faith Offering goes to foreign missions
• Firstfruits Offering

  Christians are given the privilege of honouring GOD through the offering equivalent of one month’s salary. Firstfruits giving is scheduled every 3rd Sunday of September.

• Sacrificial / Thanksgiving Offering

  Considered as the highest form of giving. Lighthouse BBC members traditionally give their sacrificial offerings during Lighthouse BBC’s anniversary celebrated in March.

• Special Offerings

  LEAP, CARE, and other GLF programs, group funds, and special projects.
